Capital Data Service, Inc. Provides Humane Society of Hall County in Gainesville, GA with Computer Services.
The Humane Society of Hall County distributes a newsletter each month which gives detailed information about the services being provided and it also has information concerning items they are in need of. A request in one of the newsletters drew the attention of Capital Data Service, Inc. President, Hastin Slaton and his wife Christie Slaton. The Humane Society was in need of someone who could provide computer services in order to keep aging network infrastructure operational so the Humane Society could quickly and efficiently continue providing services to animals.  Rick Aiken, President, Humane Society of Hall County (left) thanks Hastin Slaton, President, Capital Data Service, Inc. for donating Information Technology Services and equipment to the Humane Society Capital Data Service, Inc. has donated Managed Information Technology Services to the Humane Society of Hall County in Gainesville, GA since October, 2007. Capital Data Service has responded to technology service requests at the Humane Society and we have thoroughly enjoyed donating our time and some equipment to their cause. Each person we have come in contact with at the Humane Society has been a great pleasure to work with and they all show their gratitude. Several months into our relationship the Humane Society contacted Capital Data Service, Inc. and wanted to know if we could assist with the implementation of new accounting software they had chosen, Solomon, which would manage their accounting needs. The solution included an HP Proliant Server running Windows Server 2008, back up of data is managed by ArcServe, Lenovo workstations, switching equipment donated by Cisco Systems and Capital Data Service donated implementation services. This allowed the Humane Society to move from unreliable technology that was designed in the 1980's to a secure, stable and current infrastructure. Providing the Humane Society of Hall County in Gainesville, GA with computer services and equipment has been a great pleasure. We look forward to assisting them with their future needs and we will continue to work with our technology partners to ensure the stability of the Humane Society’s network infrastructure. |
Every year, more than 10,000 dogs, cats, and other animals are given to the Humane Society of Hall County. With the ability to house approximately 250 animals and an on-duty staff 365 days a year, no animal is turned away because of lack of room or because its owner cannot afford to make a donation. Since the Humane Society of Hall County is a non-profit organization the services that it provides to animals and the community depend heavily on volunteers.
